Eyeglass Collection

improving sight through community support

Our club collects used eyeglasses year-round to support Lions Clubs International’s vision-care mission. Donated glasses are cleaned, sorted, and sent to Lions recycling centers to help individuals in need around the world.

As part of Lions’ long-standing focus on preventing blindness and improving vision, our Canton club maintains multiple collection points throughout the community for gently used eyeglasses. Members regularly pick up donated glasses, sort them, and prepare them for shipment to official Lions Eyeglass Recycling Centers. There, the glasses are cleaned, graded, and made ready for humanitarian missions that provide vision support to underserved populations.

This program allows community members to make a simple yet life-changing contribution. A single pair of glasses can dramatically improve someone’s ability to learn, work, or care for their family. By coordinating this effort locally, we help extend the gift of better sight both at home and across the world.
